Rosemary Oil for Hair Growth: What’s Behind the Hype?

Rashel Miracle® Rosemary Hair & Scalp Strengthening Oil with before-and-after hair photos; individual results vary.

A thinner ponytail can feel like more than a hair problem.

You change your part. Try another style. Buy another bottle. But what you really want is a routine worth making time for.

Rosemary has captured attention for a reason. One six-month study compared rosemary oil with 2% minoxidil for pattern hair loss and reported increased hair counts in both groups.

Encouraging research, yes. A guarantee for every rosemary product or homemade rinse, no.

But behind the headlines is something simple: giving your hair the attention it deserves.

Rashel Pouri, Hollywood Image Maker with more than 25 years of beauty experience, brings a science-informed perspective to her beauty work. Her appearances include The Doctors, KTLA, Entertainment Tonight, and Access Hollywood. Those appearances showcased her expertise, not this rosemary oil, and do not imply endorsement of the product.

Four ingredients. One simple ritual.

Her red onion and rosemary hair rinse starts with four ingredients. No crowded shelf. No complicated preparation. A small ritual you can make yourself.

For the rinse, use dry red onion skins from one red onion, one handful of fresh rosemary, one tablespoon of whole cloves, and one glass of water.

  1. Add all ingredients to a pot.
  2. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 15–20 minutes.
  3. Cool completely and strain.
  4. Pour into a clean spray bottle.

Apply to your scalp and massage gently. Patch test before use. Refrigerate and use promptly. This homemade water-based preparation is not preserved; refrigeration does not prevent all microbial growth. Stop using it if irritation develops.

Rosemary alone is not the whole formula

Rashel Miracle® Rosemary Hair & Scalp Strengthening Oil combines rosemary with nettle, avocado, sweet almond, castor, sunflower seed, and rosehip oils.

Nettle is a key part of the blend. Not an afterthought. Not simply another bottle of rosemary oil.

Avocado and sunflower seed oils nourish and soften. Sweet almond and castor oils help strands feel smoother and more manageable. Rosehip oil conditions for luminous-looking shine.

A botanical blend designed to give dry-feeling strands attention. Softer-feeling hair. Easier styling. A luminous-looking finish.

Your rinse and your oil are two distinct preparations. Research on rosemary oil does not establish that this homemade rinse or finished nettle-containing blend regrows hair.

Follow your rinse ritual with a few drops of Rashel Miracle® Rosemary Hair & Scalp Strengthening Oil, massaged gently into the scalp. Use sparingly and adjust to your hair type.

Before-and-after images are shared with client permission. Individual experiences vary; the images do not establish what caused a change or predict your results.

For sudden, patchy, or progressing hair loss, get the cause assessed. The right care starts with understanding what is happening.

Rosemary started the conversation. Your complete ritual deserves the attention.
